Medium is dead!
It just doesn’t know it yet!

Oh dear. Oh deary, deary me!
I’ve read this contention in numerous articles on Medium recently, which goes like this, top writers are leaving the platform in droves, Medium’s biggest and most popular publications are closing down, earnings are down for most writers, no one is making decent money* anymore , the stories that are being published are boring, repetitive, and derivative, lacking in sparkle and originality, and despite its making constant changes to try to keep it relevant and dynamic, Medium as a writing platform has lost its way*.

And the platform is now plagued with technical problems too, it seems.
So can all this possibly be true?
Or is it a nonsense, easily dispelled by the facts on the ground, so to speak, by the writers and stories to be still be found on the platform.
A sampling of some of the content would seem to disprove this doom and gloom picture of its website.
I’ve been reading some great pieces of late that put the lie to that scurrilous contention!
At least this is my takeout of some of the stories I’ve been reading recently that stuck in my mind.
